Born in Farmington, Michigan in 1982, Chris Horner is currently based in Oakland, California.  Primarily self-taught, he is active in the zine and photobook community and has self-published the books Cash For Gold (2014), rockpaperscissors (2015), and Social Anxiety (2016).  His work focuses on culling moments of sublime beauty from the ultra-mundane, abstracting common objects into their most basic formal qualities: color, line, shape, texture, material, weight, balance.  Admittedly alienated from human subjects, he finds beauty and comfort in objects most of us pass by without notice.
